OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1995 with the acquisition of Produit Outillage Mirabel, the Groupe JSV is today one of the most important independent distributors of industrial hardware in Quebec. The company is headquartered in Montreal and also has locations in Saint-Jérôme, Trois-Rivières, Granby and Quebec City (2).

The Groupe JSV was built and expanded over the years through a succession of strategic acquisitions throughout the province. From 1995 to 2018, a total of fifteen distribution companies were purchased and incorporated into our business.

The most important acquisitions have been: Samson Filion, Caverhill Learmont (the oldest hardware distributor in the country), Outils Mauricien, Visplus, Hexco Stainless (where our headquarters are located), Outillage Indistriel de l’Est and most recently Outillage Central in Quebec city. This latest strategic acquisition has made JSV Group the largest independent service and repair Milwaukee center in Canada.

In 2018, we also opened a branch in the Granby region. This branch, built from scratch, is the very first branch entirely of Groupe JSV. It is the pride of Le Groupe JSV because of the success of its operations, the expertise of its employees and the satisfaction it the clients.

In addition to providing access to a diverse client base across the province in a variety of areas, this rapid growth has provided the JSV Group with impressive expertise and an extensive product catalog. We have 40 000 items in stock, as well as 500 000 coded products in our database. Our specialised sale team is also available to do research in order to be able to answer to our clients’ every need.

We offer access to a variety of products, including tools, fasteners, cleaning products, security products, painting and welding as well as surface solutions.

Our clients are as varied as our suppliers and include leaders in diverse domains such as construction, manufacturing, energy, institutional and others.

The Groupe JSV’s business model emphasizes the importance of customer service in order to set itself apart from its competition.
